DIMAPUR: Shokhuvi Village Council (SVC) has issued a rejoinder regarding reports on the July 13 bomb blast, clarifying that the incident took place at Chümoukedima ‘A’ Village and not at Shokhuvi. In a press release signed by SVC chairman H. Vekuto Swu, the council stated that several media houses and news channels had incorrectly reported the location of the incident. It informed that the blast occurred within the jurisdiction of Chümoukedima ‘A’ Village, and not Shokhuvi, and therefore requested all media organisations and members of the public to take note of the correct location and refrain from circulating inaccurate information. The council further urged concerned media outlets to correct their reports at the earliest to prevent the spread of misinformation and ensure accuracy. SVC maintained that the clarification was issued in the interest of truth, accuracy and public awareness.
