Dimapur: The Medziphema Gorkha Mahila Samity (MGMS) has strongly condemned the sexual assault of a nine-year-old minor girl by Paominlun Gangte on July 7, 2026. In a statement, MGMS appealed to the administration and higher authorities for swift and strict legal action under the POCSO Act. The Samity further urged all right-thinking citizens, ward leaders, civil societies and organisations to unite against such crimes and violence to ensure a safe environment for children. MGMS also prayed for the speedy recovery of the victim and assured the family of its unwavering support in their pursuit of justice.
