DIMAPUR: A delegation from the office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner (ORGI), India, led by joint director ORGI, New Delhi, Dr. Manoj Jain and statistical investigator ORGI, Chankit Kumar, visited Chiephobozou Block on July 16, as part of the ongoing Census Operation 2027.
According to a DIPR report, the delegation, accompanied by officials from the Census Directorate Kohima including Sr. Executive, Dr. Kekrietshunuo Kire, statistical investigator, Athisü Chachei, field trainer & lecturer DIET Chiechama, Alemsongla Jamir, field trainer & lecturer DIET Chiechama, M. Ruthla Sangtam and ADC & Sub-divisional Census Officer Chiephobozou, Vekusheyi Rhakho, visited rural and urban census charges covering Nerhe Phezha, Botsa, Chiephobozou urban ward-5 and Touphema Village.
The team inspected newly enumerated houses, interacted with heads of households and provided instructions to enumerators and supervisors regarding the House Listing Operation.
During a brief meeting at the ADCās office chamber, Dr. Manoj Jain stated that the purpose of the visit was to observe and inspect the ongoing first phase of Census 2027, ensuring proper execution of the house-listing process.
