DC Kohima visits Kidima; seeks support for census

DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner & Principal Census Officer Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, visited Kidima Village under the Kezocha Census Charge on July 15, accompanied by EAC Sadar, Dr. Riku Khutso; EAC & Charge Officer, Zerutso Kesiezie; along with census supervisors and enumerators. According to a DIPR report, during the visit, the officials interacted with the Village Council, Gaon Buras (GBs) and representatives of the church, women, youth and other community organizations.
The Deputy Commissioner commended the village leaders, remarking that Kidima Village has never been a burden on the district administration.
He urged community leaders to extend full cooperation to census functionaries to ensure the successful conduct of the ongoing House-listing and Housing Census operations.
Expressing gratitude, the chairman of the Kidima Village Council thanked the Deputy Commissioner for his visit, noting that it had been more than 15 years since a Deputy Commissioner of Kohima last visited the village.
