DIMAPUR, JUL (NPN): The Nagaland Pickleball Association (NPA) has announced the inaugural Nagaland Pickleball Masters 2026, presented by Niathu Group in association with The Fitness House. The premier three-day championship will be held from July 24 to 26 at The Fitness House, Dimapur, marking a milestone in the growth of pickleball in the state.
The tournament will officially begin at 9 AM on July 24, with the opening ceremony scheduled for 4 PM the same day. Minister, NPWD Housing & Mechanical Engineering, Government of Nagaland, Bashangmongba Chang, will grace the occasion as chief guest, underscoring the growing recognition of pickleball as an emerging sport in Nagaland.
Featuring a prize pool of Rs. 3,00,000, the event will attract players from Nagaland and across India, including top-ranked pickleball athletes. Competitions will be held across multiple categories: Men’s Doubles Open, Women’s Doubles Open, Mixed Doubles Open, Men’s Doubles 40+, Men’s Doubles 45+, Mixed Doubles 40+, Split Mixed Doubles 75+ and the Champion of Champions.
Beyond the matches, spectators can enjoy exhibition games, fan engagement activities, raffle draws, premium hospitality and a professionally managed tournament environment aimed at promoting pickleball both at grassroots and competitive levels.
