Kohima, Jul 25 (NPN): A free medical health camp was organised at Tsiepfutsiepfhe (AG) Colony, Kohima, on Friday under the initiative of Dr. Tseilhoutuo (Ato) Rhütso, MLA benefiting around 200 residents.
The camp offered a wide range of free healthcare services, including consultations with general physicians and specialists, blood pressure and blood sugar screening, blood tests, ultrasound services, ENT screening, dental check-ups, cervical cancer screening (Pap smear) and distribution of free medicines. As part of the initiative, home-based medical services were also provided to bedridden and elderly patients. The organisers said the initiative was aimed at promoting a healthier community and ensuring a better future through accessible healthcare services.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Tsiepfutsiepfhe council general secretary Vilekho Bio, while deacon of CRC Tsiepfutsiepfhe, Malol Neikha, invoked God’s blessings. Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) councillor Ketousie Khamo delivered the welcome address.
