DIMAPUR: Kohima Sümi Hoho (KSH) held its general session on July 25 at Mt. Olive College Auditorium, Kohima.
Addressing the gathering, Development Commissioner Y. Kikheto Sema urged members to remain humble, seek God’s wisdom, embrace challenges, and work hard to prosper. He emphasized the need for a better approach in managing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to move forward with confidence.
In his presidential address, K. Shiwoto Wotsa acknowledged members for their unwavering support and cooperation during the past three years. He appealed to Sümi residents of Kohima to maintain cordial relations with all tribes and communities, while cautioning against the misuse of social media and urging judicious use of the platform.
The session adopted two resolutions: reaffirming commitment to peaceful coexistence with all tribes and communities in Kohima, and warning of stringent action against members misusing social media in ways detrimental to the Sümi community.
Upon completion of its three year tenure, and as recommended by the search committee with approval of the house, the incumbent office bearers were re-elected for another year, led by K. Shiwoto Wotsa as president and Daniel Kiho as general secretary, among others.
