DIMAPUR, JUL 28 (NPN): All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) on Tuesday announced that Nagaland University (NU) has agreed to permit 367 students, who were earlier declared ineligible, to apply for re-evaluation of the recently declared FYUGP semester examination results.
According to ANCSU, the decision followed a meeting with university authorities on July 27, 2026, convened to address grievances over the examination results. The union said the affected students had been denied the opportunity to apply for re-evaluation because they either secured single-digit marks or failed to attain the existing minimum eligibility requirement of 20%.
Following detailed discussions, it was resolved that the affected students would be allowed to inspect their evaluated answer scripts after the university receives a consolidated list from ANCSU. If discrepancies in tabulation or dissatisfaction with the awarded marks are found after verification, the students will be permitted to apply for re-evaluation despite not meeting the prescribed eligibility criterion.
NU also addressed complaints regarding incorrect reflection of minor subjects in examination results. ANCSU said affiliated colleges have been given one month to submit the required corrections. Students whose minor subjects have been wrongly reflected have been advised to immediately contact their respective colleges to ensure corrections are forwarded within the stipulated period.
ANCSU has asked all students currently ineligible for re-evaluation to submit their names and university roll numbers through their respective college students’ councils within two days. The councils have also been directed to forward consolidated lists to ass general secretary Imnawabang T. Lkr.
