NGA, DDGIF condole demise of Arthur Edwards

DIMAPUR: Nagaland Gorkha Association (NGA) and Dimapur District Gorkha Indigenous Forum (DDGIF) have expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Arthur Edwards, founder and administrator of Livingstone Foundation International, who passed away on July 28 at Eden Hospital, Dimapur.
In its condolence message, NGA described Edwards as an entrepreneur, educationist and philanthropist who had contributed significantly to society. He also served as advisor of the Dimapur Gorkha Elders’ Forum and was remembered as a respected and loved member of the community. NGA noted that his wisdom, character and service had left a lasting impact, and his demise was a great loss to the Gorkha community in Nagaland.
The association extended heartfelt condolences to Nisheli Edwards and family, and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace. Meanwhile, DDGIF has expressed deep pain, shock and sorrow at the untimely demise of Arthur Edwards, founder of Living Stone Foundation School, Dimapur, who passed away on July 28.
DDGIF noted that Edwards was also the founder of Breeze Restaurant and Bakery, and described him as an educationist, pioneer entrepreneur and social activist. He had served as advisor of Dimapur Gorkha Union and was deeply concerned for the welfare of the Gorkha community. In its condolence message, DDGIF prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace and asked the Almighty to grant solace, strength and comfort to the bereaved family during this hour of grief.
