Rio, Patton, Phangnon extend Tsungremmong fest greetings

DIMAPUR, JUL 31 (NPN): Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio, deputy chief minister Y. Patton and Rajya Sabha MP S. Phangnon Konyak have extended warm greetings to the Ao community on the occasion of Tsungremmong, the traditional pre-harvest festival of thanksgiving.
In a social media post, Rio prayed that the festival would fill every home with joy, good health and a bountiful harvest, while wishing the Ao community a happy Tsungremmong.
Patton described Tsungremmong as an important festival in the cultural heritage of the Ao Nagas, marking the completion of hard work in the fields and serving as a time of thanksgiving to the Almighty for the promise of a good harvest.
He wished the Ao community a joyful celebration and prayed that the festival would bring peace, harmony, prosperity and goodwill to every household and across Nagaland.
In her message, Phangnon wished that the cherished festival would strengthen the bonds of togetherness and bring peace, happiness and abundant blessings to all.
