Landslide blocks NH 702A near Surhoba

DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner, Phek has issued a traffic advisory following a major landslide at Km.161+700 near Surhoba Village, which has completely blocked the Phek–Chozuba stretch of NH 702A to vehicular traffic.
In an advisory, Deputy Commissioner Rhosietlho Nguori, informed that movement of all categories of vehicles along the affected stretch has been prohibited from July 31, 2026 until the road is cleared and declared safe.
Commuters have been advised to take alternate routes via Phek-Khuza-Mutsale-Phughi-Sukruzu-Chozuba and vice versa.
The order will remain in force until further notice.
