CHÜMOUKEDIMA, JUL 31 (NPN): Piphema United FC registered a convincing 3-0 victory over Medziphema Football Academy in Match 7 of the 2nd Edition of the CDFA League-cum-Rokonicha Champions Trophy on July 31.
Katoho handed Piphema United FC the lead in first-half stoppage time (45+1), giving his side a crucial advantage heading into the break. Devika then doubled the lead in the 57th minute before completing his brace with another goal in injury time (90+1) to seal an emphatic win.
The only caution of the match was shown to Piphema United FC’s Visieto in the 20th minute.
For his outstanding performance, Devika (jersey No. 9) of Piphema United FC was adjudged the Player of the Match. The match patron was MatsungOzukum, former AIMMAF National Champion and secretary of the Business Consultancy Network (BCN).
Meanwhile, the next fixture of the tournament will see Sovima Sports Club take on School of Football in a night match on August 1 at 6 p.m. The match patron will be Nagaland Students’ Federation (NSF) president Mteisuding.
