DB Job Fair 2026 successfully organized in Dimapur

DIMAPUR: The DB Job Fair 2026 was successfully organized by the AIDA – Don Bosco Job Placement Network (DB JPN), Dimapur, in collaboration with the Salesian College of Higher Education, Dimapur, at Kuda Village, Half Nagarjan on August 1.
The event was further supported by the Salesian Cooperators – Dimapur Province, DBYES Dimapur Province, District Employment Exchange (Model Career Centre), Dimapur and the National Career Service Centre (NCSC) for SC/ST Kohima and NCSC for Differently Abled, Dimapur.
The primary objective of the fair was to bridge the gap between employers and job seekers by providing a common platform for aspiring candidates to interact directly with recruiters, participate in interviews and explore employment opportunities across diverse sectors. The initiative also aimed to promote youth employment by offering access to jobs within Nagaland, across India and selected international opportunities.
Approximately 70 job seekers from Nagaland and neighbouring states registered for the event, including fresh postgraduates, graduates, diploma holders, skilled professionals and individuals seeking career advancement. The programme began with registration and an orientation session on recruitment processes, interview etiquette and employer expectations.
Several reputed organizations participated in the recruitment drive, including Talent Acquaintance, Employment Providers, Reliance Jio, Flywayy Dimapur, SBI Life Insurance, Ohaa International School and Tolins Tyres Pvt. Ltd. While most recruiters conducted face-to-face interviews at the venue, Ohaa International School and Tolins Tyres Pvt. Ltd. facilitated virtual interviews, expanding opportunities for candidates through online platforms.
Vacancies were offered in telecommunications, sales and marketing, customer service, insurance, education, manufacturing, technical support and administrative roles. By the conclusion of the fair, 36 candidates were shortlisted for the next stages of recruitment.
The event also strengthened networking between employers, educational institutions and placement agencies, creating new avenues for future collaborations. Organizers highlighted that beyond immediate placements, the fair provided valuable exposure to industry requirements and boosted candidates’ confidence through real-time interview experiences.
On behalf of executive director and chief functionary AIDA Dimapur, Rev. Fr. Dr. Roy George SDB, Regional Coordinator DB JPN Dimapur, Sebi Chacko, conveyed appreciation to Rev. Fr. Dr. Paul Panii SDB, Principal of Salesian College of Higher Education, for hosting the event and to all collaborating organizations, recruiters, faculty, volunteers and job seekers for their contributions.
