DIMAPUR: A three day Exhibition cum Sale and Live Loom Demonstration was inaugurated at Urban Haat, Dimapur, by Biswajit Das, Assistant Director and Head of Office, Weaver’s Service Centre, Toluvi.
According to a press release issued by Deputy General Manager (Project), Itoka Sumi, the event was organised by the Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd. in collaboration with the Weaver’s Service Centre, and sponsored by the Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
The release stated that the programme highlights regional craft traditions and will continue till August 7, 2026, culminating in the nationwide celebration of the 12th National Handloom Day.
