CHÜMOUKEDIMA, AUG 6 (NPN): Outlaws FC produced a dominant performance to register a resounding 10-0 victory over Sovima Sports Club in Match 12 of the 2nd Edition of the CDFA League-cum-Rokonicha Champions Trophy at the Chümoukedima Football Stadium on Thursday.
Thanglenhao (jersey No. 11) led the scoring spree with five goals, finding the net in the 12th, 61st (penalty), 83rd and 90+4th minutes. Lunmingou (No. 7) added a hat-trick with goals in the 16th, 43rd and 79th minutes, while Lima (No. 20) scored in the 32nd minute and Victor (No. 5) completed the rout with a goal in the 87th minute.
The only booking of the match was issued to Meren (No. 19) of Outlaws FC.
For his outstanding five-goal performance, Thanglenhao (No. 11) of Outlaws FC was adjudged the Player of the Match.
The match patron was Thepfuselie Makritsu, President of 5th Ghaspani-II Assembly Constituency.
Meanwhile, Match 13 of the tournament, scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m., will feature Piphema United FC against School of Football.
The match patron for the evening fixture will be Limatola Ao, captain of the Nagaland women’s cricket team.
