NSCN (U), GPRN/NNC(AB) sign MoU for Naga unity

DIMAPUR: In a major development towards Naga reconciliation and unity, the NSCN (U) under the leadership of ‘president’ Nokpao Konyak and ‘ato kilonser’ Alezo Venuh, and the GPRN/NNC (Apex Body) led by Francis Kikon, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 5.
According to MIP GPRN/NSCN (AB), the MoU concerns matters related to the political, social and economic growth of the Nagas in general and Nagaland in particular.
It emphasises unity and solidarity for peace and well being of the Nagas, while creating a congenial, growth oriented environment for the future generations. \
The agreement commits both parties to strive for socio political stability, address public grievances arising from unprecedented situations, and work together towards ensuring a political solution with the Government of India and its implementation.
