DC office complexes in Dimapur, Niuland inspected

DIMAPUR: Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD) on Friday reviewed the progress of the under construction Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complexes in Dimapur and Niuland.
The inspection was led by Assistant Chief Engineer (ACE), CAWD, Er. Sungtiba Amer, who visited the project sites along with CAWD officials, administrative officers, engineers and representatives of the executing contractors.
At the Dimapur site, Er. Amer said the project was progressing satisfactorily and underscored the need to maintain quality workmanship throughout the construction period. He informed that the original work order was for 24 months with effect from November 7, 2025.
However, since construction could begin only after dismantling the old building, the effective work period has been extended by seven months. The project comprises a modern G+2 DC Office Complex designed by the Chief Architect, PWD (Planning & Design), with Civil Administration Works Division serving as the executing agency.
The CAWD team also inspected the DC Office Complex at Niuland, where they were joined by Deputy Commissioner T. L. Kiusumong Tikhir, administrative officers, engineers and the executing contractor. Implemented under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme, the project is a G+3 office complex that commenced in 2024.
Expressing satisfaction with the progress of work, Er. Amer directed the contractor to ensure completion within the stipulated work order period while maintaining prescribed quality standards.
During the inspections, he assessed every major component of the ongoing works and emphasised that quality, durability and timely execution must remain the department’s top priorities, adding that the office complexes would serve the people and administration for decades to come.
Meanwhile, Er. Amer expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Nagaland, Dr. Neiphiu Rio, for consistently prioritising the development of administrative infrastructure by providing adequate funding for DC office complexes and other administrative buildings across the state.
He said the government’s support had enabled Civil Administration Works Division to execute key projects, including the DC complexes at Tuensang, Noklak, Shamator, Wokha, Tseminyu, Meluri and Zunheboto, besides several other functional and non functional administrative buildings.
