DIMAPUR: National Executive Meeting of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) was held on August 10 in New Delhi, bringing together senior leaders and representatives of the party to deliberate on organisational, political and developmental matters.
According to national secretary Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), S. Richard Humtsoe, the meeting was attended by Dr. Sukhato A. Sema, MLA and Leader of the Legislature Party, LJP (Ram Vilas), Nagaland; Naiba Konyak, MLA and Chief Whip, LJP (Ram Vilas), Nagaland; and Viloto Pukhato, State president, LJP (Ram Vilas), Nagaland.
During the deliberations, emphasis was placed on the importance of the Look East Policy initiated under former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao, which was later transformed into the Act East Policy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Leaders highlighted that the policy presents historic opportunities for the North East, particularly Nagaland, to leverage geographical proximity for economic and strategic advantage through connectivity, cross border trade, tourism, agriculture and food processing.
The meeting reaffirmed confidence in the leadership of National president and Union Cabinet minister Chirag Paswan, with leaders expressing commitment to strengthening the voice of Nagaland and the North East in the national arena.
Delivering a message on behalf of the Nagaland State Unit, State President Viloto Pukhato expressed gratitude to Chirag Paswan for his dynamic leadership and appealed for the early release of the first instalment for food processing industries in Nagaland. He said timely support would create employment opportunities, promote entrepreneurship and help unemployed youth become economically self reliant.
Pukhato assured the National president of the State Unit’s fullest cooperation and unwavering commitment to strengthening the organisation across the North East, while appreciating his guidance, trust and continued support to Nagaland.
