DIMAPUR, AUG 12 (NPN): In view of security concerns, Dimapur police have declared a 2-km radius around three Independence Day celebration venues– DDSC Stadium, Dimapur; Chümoukedima Samaguting Stadium; and Niuland Public Ground– as a temporary “Red Zone” or no-fly zone on August 15. In an order, Commissioner of Police Dimapur, Aotula T. Imchen, has restricted drone and remotely piloted aircraft operations in the designated areas from 2am to 6pm on August 15. No person would be permitted to operate a drone or RPA within designated Red Zones without prior permission from the competent authority.
