DIMAPUR: The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH), led by its president Tokuho Suhoi Neho, paid a courtesy visit to Commissioner of Police Dimapur, Aotula T Imchen, at her office on Wednesday. The delegation held an extensive deliberation on pressing issues confronting society.
In a press release issued by WSH stated that during the interaction, the Hoho lauded the Commissioner for her active role in curbing illegal activities and assured full cooperation in her efforts to foster social harmony and peace.
Expressing gratitude for the positive assurance, the Commissioner highlighted concerns over the influx of illegal immigrants and the growing menace of drug abuse among youths. She urged the Hoho to encourage young people to prepare diligently for competitive examinations, stressing the need to avoid dependency and pursue self-reliance.
The Commissioner further voiced concern over rising unemployment, noting that only the hard work and determination of the youth could help society overcome challenges of dependency and secure a sustainable future.
