MSME-DFO holds branding, marketing workshop for artisans

DIMAPUR: MSME Development and Facilitation Office (MSME DFO), Dimapur, under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, in association with the Department of Industries & Commerce and District Industries Centre (DIC), Zunheboto, organised a one day awareness workshop on Branding and Marketing at the Multipurpose Hall, Zunheboto on August 13 under the PM Vishwakarma scheme.
The workshop aimed to build the capacity of artisans to scale their businesses through technical sessions on product packaging, labelling and design, export development, artificial intelligence and financial literacy. Over 100 local artisans participated. Delivering the welcome address, Er. N. Toky Chishi, general anager, DIC Zunheboto, urged participants to actively utilise opportunities under the scheme for enterprise growth and market expansion.
Kumzutoli K. Hesso, founder of KK Hesso Studio, led the session on product packaging and design, stressing the importance of strong product identity, sustainable packaging, QR based traceability and consumer centric branding. The State Programme Management Unit (SPMU), PM Vishwakarma conducted an interactive module on artificial intelligence, introducing digital tools for product promotion and enterprise development.
In the session on export development, Kezhaletuo Khruomo, Functional Manager, DIC Zunheboto, familiarised artisans with fundamentals of export readiness and government support schemes. Hovirie Kennao, financial analyst for the RAMP Scheme, spoke on financial literacy, integrated business planning and networking, followed by a demonstration on QR code generation and e commerce onboarding.
J. Soren, Lead District Manager, SBI Zunheboto, interacted with participants on credit access, loan applications and facilities. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Y. Nikhilendra, IEDS, Assistant Director, MSME DFO Dimapur, who reiterated the ministry’s commitment to strengthening artisan enterprises through continuous capacity building and market development initiatives.
