YAN appeals to seniors for revival of organisation

DIMAPUR: Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN) has appealed to all senior members, pioneers and former office bearers seeking their guidance and support for the revival of the organisation.
In its statement, A Shyerhunlo Lorin, former Asst GS & Finance i/c, YAN, acknowledged the vision and dedication of its founding leaders, noting that the association had long served as a platform for youth leadership, community service and socio cultural development. However, it admitted that in recent years the organisation had stagnated, leaving a void in youth coordination and representation at a time when challenges such as unemployment, substance abuse and social unrest demand constructive youth engagement.
Expressing commitment to revive and restructure YAN in a responsible and transparent manner, the appeal stressed that the process cannot be carried out alone and requires the collective wisdom of elders and past leaders. It urged them to come forward with advice, support and participation to rebuild the organisational framework and redefine priorities.
The association called upon all respected senior, past office bearers and founding members to come forward, while reaffirming its hope that under the guidance of seniors, YAN would once again emerge as a strong and purposeful youth body.
