Kohima, AUG 16 (NPN): Elpis Society for Rehabilitation Centre was launched at Phek by Dr. Pritpal Kaur, SP Phek, on August 16.
The Elpis Society, a community‑based organisation, has been established to address the rehabilitation needs of individuals struggling with alcohol, drug and substance dependence. “Elpis” translates from Greek as “Hope for good.” Founded under the vision and leadership of Dr. Kaur, the Society aims to extend healing and support the reintegration of individuals and families affected by addiction.
Its core focus areas include awareness generation, prevention, counselling, rehabilitation support, community engagement and advocacy, while actively working to reduce stigma and discrimination associated with substance use disorders.
