Unity in diversity is the strength of India

India is a land of unity in diversity. Diversity in religion, culture and language that has made India great. Each exist with its own identity. With this unity in diversity, India has come a long way in living peacefully, brotherly hood and harmony since its independence. Unity in diversity is therefore the strength and beauty of India. India can not exist with one religion and one culture. Also we all should understand that unity is not uniformity.
All religion preach peaceful coexistence . It propagate none violence and harmony. No religion propagate hatred, killing or destruction. Religion is about our believe in God and for the good of humanity. On the other hand, all human beings are equal in the sight of God. Anyone doing good and love the humanity get blessings from God but whoever hate the humanity and destroy the good work done gets curse from God. If your religion do good and love people, people will like and accept it. Anything good done by any religion for development of humanity should be appreciated and supported and not to destroy. In India some Hindu religious fanatics keep harassing the good people of other religion and destroying the good works done for humanity.
Among all religions, Christianity has done a lot for humanity in education, healthcare and upliftment of down trodden. This dedicatory service to humanity is on the other hand, helping the Govt. in the welfare of the people. Doing good works bring happiness and peace.In fact , the purpose of this life is to help the poor, helplessness and to do good for the people. Peace comes when you do good to others and not to yourselves. Who do not want peace and happiness? Everyone like to live in peace. Destruction, hatred and killing is against religion. If any religion endorsed the violence and destruction, it is against humanity and is liable to punishment.
Indian constitution allowed the freedom of religion. So anyone can follow any religion. It is the choice and conviction of the individual. Nobody can force others to follow his or her religion. Any religion should try to do good for people / society/ community and not to destroy others. Who will follow the religion that threatens, destroy the good works done for society / community. Christianity never spread hatred and destroy other religious good work done for humanity. Christianity has built hospitals, educational institutions for people of all sections irrespective of caste, tribes etc. But why destroying, harassing, threatening those who do good for people ? Why Govt. keeps silent and not protecting the innocents who is giving good education and sacrificing their lives caring for the lives of poor people? If the Indian Govt. can not safeguard its innocent people despite their constitutional rights, it is better to live under a Communist Govt. where people’s right is protected and good works are cherished. In India many are still living in poverty,uneducated, with no basic amenities and many are dying due to lack of medical facilities and road connectivity. This is the situation but why Govt. of India instead of focusing to meet those needs and do justice to the people, always trying to bring out the issues of none-sense like what to eat, what to worship, uniform code of conduct and what song to sing and mandatory to do none issues.
A good Govt. should come out with issues related to the welfare of the people and focus more on development and good governance. But why often bring out controversial religious and cultural issues that is against the sentiments of the people. Contradictory notifications / orders against the Constitutional provisions harassing the sentiments of the people need to be avoided. Constitution should be honoured and not be twisted. Constitution is supreme above all courts of laws. The pioneers of Indian constitution are not fools. They understood about the people of India having varied cultures, traditions, languages and religions and taking into consideration of all fronts and with a vision for peaceful living, they framed this Indian Constittution. But unfortunately, very often controversial issues are raised by the Govt. against the constitutional provisions. Some Hindu religious fanatics sometimes brought about the Religious issues and others to divide the harmony of the country.
Religion is about faith. It is left to individual’s choice and is constitutionally allowed to accept or reject by individuals. So, let us all live in peace with our own choice of religion and maintain our own culture and languages. Unity in Diversity is the only binding force for India to progress.
