A2 Strikers clinch Marwari Super 6 title

A2 Strikers emerged victorious in the Marwari Super 6 Night Cricket Tournament, defeating AR Lions in a gripping final match held on Sunday. The tournament, organized by the Agarwal Yuva Manch Dimapur and presented by the Onkarmal Agarwal Foundation, took place at St. Mary’s School Ground, Nyamo Lotha Road, Dimapur.
Winning the toss, A2 Strikers opted to bat first, setting up a highly competitive and intense match. After a fierce battle, the team secured the championship title, marking a memorable victory.
Several players were recognized for their outstanding performances: Best Batsman was awarded to Anand Sharma; Best Bowler by Hemant Jain; and Player of the Tournament by Prateek Jain
The closing ceremony was held in remembrance of Shri Agrasen Maharaj and Kuldevi Mahalakshmi. The event was attended by dignitaries, including office bearers of Shri Agarwal Mahasabha, members of Agarwal Mahila Manch, representatives from various communities, team owners, players, guests, and youth participants.
Shri Agarwal Mahasabha president, Pradeep Goyal, along with other leaders, praised the organizing committee for their efforts in fostering unity and brotherhood among different communities. They commended the youth for their dedication and contribution, emphasizing how the tournament showcased the talents and camaraderie within the community.
During the event, several individuals and groups were honored, including members of Shri Agarwal Mahasabha, Agarwal Mahila Manch, sponsors, community representatives, team owners, commentators, umpires, and the sports committee. The tournament, which lasted for eight consecutive days, also featured cricket matches for young children and women, further promoting sports and inclusivity.
The tournament was hosted by Prashant Agarwal and conducted under the supervision of Sports Convenor Narayan Khetan and Co-Convenor Amit Agarwal. Secretary Ankush Garg congratulated the organizing team, including President Tushar Mittal and Sports Convenor Narayan Khetan, for the successful execution of the event.
