Škoda Auto India unveils new Slavia, announces Octavia RS and Superb TDI

DIMAPUR: Škoda Auto India has ushered in the next chapter of its sedan legacy with the unveiling of the new Slavia, alongside the announcement of the return of the Octavia RS and the Superb TDI. The launch reinforces the brand’s commitment to combining European engineering with modern technology, safety and comfort tailored for Indian customers. The updated Slavia introduces segment-first features, including an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission paired with the 1.0 TSI engine, and a Rear Seat Massage function. Customers can also opt for a six-speed manual or the 1.5 TSI with a seven-speed DSG. Enhancements include all-new LED headlamps and taillamps with sequential indicators, refreshed alloy designs, and new interior themes. The sedan also debuts a 360-degree Area View camera system, Park Pilot with front sensors, and a next-gen infotainment system powered by Google Cloud’s AI Companion, offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety remains a priority, with six airbags and over 25 active and passive features standard, carrying forward its 5-star Global NCAP rating.
The Slavia will be available in multiple trims, including the sporty Monte Carlo edition, with new colour options such as Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige. Pre-bookings have opened at Rs. 15,000. Škoda also showcased the Octavia RS, powered by a 2.0 TSI engine delivering 265 PS with a seven-speed DSG. Limited to 50 units, the performance sedan will be offered in Mamba Green, Velvet Red, and Magic Black. Pre-bookings opened on August 18 at Rs.2,50,000, with priority access for customers who missed out during the previous RS launch.
The Superb TDI marks the return of Škoda’s flagship luxury sedan to India. Equipped with LED Matrix headlamps, Cognac leather interiors, ventilated and massage front seats, ADAS features, and Dynamic Chassis Control, the Superb combines refinement with long-distance touring capability. Deliveries are expected to begin by Q2 next year.
All three sedans come with the Škoda Super Care package, offering a 4-year warranty, roadside assistance, and four labour-free services. Extended warranty options, corrosion coverage, and paint protection further enhance ownership benefits. Škoda Auto India, which recorded 107% year-on-year growth with 72,665 cars sold in 2025, continues to strengthen its presence across 190 cities with over 340 touchpoints. The new launches underline its strategy to deliver globally benchmarked products while catering to evolving Indian customer needs.
