KOHIMA, AUG 21 (NPN): Tsütüonuomia Youth Organisation (TYO) secured a 2-1 victory over Nurturing Youngsters FC in Match 9 of the Atuo Mezhür Sekhose Super League 2026 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima on Friday.
TYO. came from behind to claim all three points, with Toka Achumi emerging as the match-winner after scoring both goals for his side.
Nurturing Youngsters FC took an early lead through Menguzelie (17), who found the net in the 20th minute to put his team 1-0 ahead.
TYO responded in the 34th minute when Toka Achumi (8) levelled the score at 1-1. The two sides remained evenly matched thereafter, with neither able to break the deadlock before the interval.
Toka completed his brace in the 72nd minute, scoring his second goal of the match to put TYO 2-1 ahead. Nurturing Youngsters FC could not find an equaliser in the remaining minutes as TYO held on for the victory.
The match was patronised by Ruokuovolie Rutsa, Councillor, Ward No. 3.
In the next fixture, Mez & Co. will take on Sechü Zubza at 3 p.m. on Friday at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
