DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer, has issued a notification regarding the strengthening of outreach and promotion of social security schemes through India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) and the Department of Posts. The directive follows a communication from the Finance Department, Nagaland, Kohima.
According to a DIPR report, the DC informed that the Department of Posts has introduced various affordable insurance and social security schemes, including the District Life Insurance Relief Programme (DLRP) and the Group Term Life Insurance Employee Plan (GTLIPR). To facilitate coordination and awareness generation, all government departments have been requested to nominate a suitable officer under the “One Department One Executive (ODE)” initiative.
Heads of Departments and offices under Kiphire district are directed to forward details of their nominated ODE including name, designation, mobile number and email ID to the Post Office, Kiphire. The nominations must be submitted in the prescribed format on or before August 27, 2026.
The DC emphasized that the matter should be treated with priority to ensure effective outreach and coordination of the schemes, which aim to extend affordable insurance and social security benefits to employees and the wider public.
