ENSF, RSUD, ZWA condemn Dimapur road accident; demand justice

DIMAPUR: Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF), Rongmei Students’ Union Dimapur (RSUD) and Zeliangrong Welfare Association (ZWA), Delhi have expressed deep anguish and unequivocally condemned the tragic road accident at Veterinary Colony, Burma Camp, Dimapur on August 29, which claimed the lives of two young students of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Dimapur-Gaisinlung Dhanangmei (Class XI) and Machangbou Charenamai (Class X).
ENSF said two promising lives had been cut short before their time, leaving families, friends and the school community in profound grief. Extending condolences, the Federation assured its solidarity with the bereaved families in this hour of sorrow.
Demanding accountability, ENSF urged that those responsible be made answerable before the law and receive befitting punishment under its provisions. It stressed that investigation and delivery of justice must remain impartial and timely.
The Federation further called upon the administration and law enforcement agencies to remain vigilant, stating that the law must not awaken only when tragedy strikes. It urged consistent checks against speeding, reckless driving, underage driving and drunk driving, with offenders dealt with firmly in accordance with the law.
ENSF also appealed to concerned agencies to undertake sustained efforts to educate and sensitise the public, particularly young drivers, on the responsibilities of driving and the grave consequences of irresponsible conduct.
It said the loss of these precious lives must not be reduced to another passing tale of grief but serve as a solemn call for duty, accountability and faithful enforcement of the law.
Meanwhile, RSUD also extended heartfelt condolences on the demise of the two students, stating that the untimely loss of two bright lives has left their families, friends, classmates and the entire school community in profound grief.

Strongly condemning reckless and negligent driving, RSUD urged the concerned authorities to conduct a fair, thorough and impartial investigation into the incident. It further called upon the authorities to ensure that facts are established and that the person found responsible is dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
The union extended its condolences to the bereaved families, relatives, friends, classmates, teachers and the entire Don Bosco community, and prayed that they find strength and courage to endure the irreparable loss.
Zeliangrong Welfare Association (ZWA), Delhi has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of two young students-who lost their lives in a tragic road accident on August 29 at Veterinary Colony, Burma Camp, Dimapur.
In a condolence message, ZWA conveyed sympathies to the bereaved families, friends, teachers, classmates and the wider Zeliangrong community. The Association described the loss of two promising lives as a grievous tragedy and prayed for strength and comfort to the families during this difficult time.
It further wished that the departed souls rest in eternal peace.
