DIMAPUR: Directorate of Health & Family Welfare (DHFW) bid farewell to Principal Director Dr. Mereninla Senlem and Director (Health) Dr. Menguzenuo Margaret Yhome on September 2 at the DHFW lobby, Kohima.
Speaking at the programme, Kevileno Angami, Commissioner & Secretary, H&FW, lauded the tremendous service of the outgoing officers, noting their contribution had made a positive impact on society, the department and the institution. She acknowledged their team leadership, dedication and sacrifices throughout their careers.
In her farewell speech, Dr. Mereninla Senlem expressed gratitude to Almighty God for enabling her to reach this milestone in good health. She recalled her years of service marked by hardship, success and guidance from seniors and colleagues.
She emphasised the importance of harmony with district task forces and administrations in achieving goals, and noted that NHM has many talented employees whose potential could be harnessed through structural changes.
She encouraged staff to work cooperatively and communicate openly for collective success.
Dr. Menguzenuo Margaret Yhome, in her address, thanked colleagues and seniors for their guidance and support, wishing continued success for the department and wellbeing for all.
Delivering the citation, Dr. Keveduyi Theyo, Mission Director (NHM), said the occasion was not a farewell but an opportunity to express gratitude for the officers’ outstanding leadership and integrity.
He highlighted their service journey and achievements, and in his acceptance speech as incoming Principal Director, assured that he would uphold the legacy of the institution with humility and sincerity.
