SVEEP awareness prog conducted at Senayangba GHSS, Ungma

DiMAPUR: A Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) awareness programme focusing on the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise was conducted at Senayangba Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Ungma, Mokokchung, on September 2.
According to a DIPR report, addressing the gathering, EAC (HQ) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) for 26-Aonglenden Assembly Constituency, Kewimesin Nriame, highlighted the vital role of voter awareness among youth. Stressing the fundamental democratic principle of “one person, one vote”, Nriame motivated eligible students to actively exercise their franchise in upcoming elections and urged them to extend full cooperation to ensure the success of the ongoing SIR initiative.
During the session, the Master Trainer for 26-Aonglenden AC explained the technical aspects of the SIR exercise. The trainer elaborated on the crucial responsibilities of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and provided step-by-step guidance on correctly filling out and processing enumeration forms.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by EAC (HQ) and AERO for 27-Mokokchung Town AC, Neithozo Theunuo, marking the successful completion of the awareness event.
