NE zone inter CAPF debate competition

DIMAPUR: A debate competition on Human Rights was held on September 5 at ARTC&S, Shokhuvi, with seven Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) participating.
According to a press release by Nodal Officer Lt. Col. S.R. Das, the objective of the debate was to sensitise participants on the importance of strict adherence to human rights while dealing with the public. Brig. Chandan Singh Pathania, Commandant, ARTC&S, appreciated the efforts of the participants and commended the efficient conduct of the event by the organisers.
CAPFs from the North East region-BSF, CRPF, CISF, RPF, SSB, ITBP and Assam Rifles-took part in the competition. A total of 28 speakers debated on the motion in Hindi and English, with 14 speakers each “for” and “against.”
Assam Rifles secured the first position in both English and Hindi categories. RPF won second place in Hindi, while CISF secured second place in English. The winners in both categories will represent the North East Zone in the semi finals of the Inter CAPF debate competition, scheduled for October 2026.
