Law student found dead in drainage

DIMAPUR, SEP 7 (NPN): A law student was found dead in a roadside drainage in Model Colony here on Monday morning, with his Scooty found nearby.
The deceased was identified as Maongkumzuk A Jamir, a student of City Law College. According to his relatives, Jamir had gone fishing with friends on Sunday but did not return home. His body was found in the drainage the following morning. A person out for a morning walk reportedly noticed the body and alerted Dimapur Police between 5:30 and 6am.
Family members were later informed of the death after some people approached them and said the body had been taken to the hospital.
The body was subsequently taken to Dimapur District Hospital for post-mortem examination. However, family members declined the examination.
