DIMAPUR: Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland (ZB N) conducted its Dimki session on September 4 at Gaili village, Peren district. The tribal assembly witnessed the attendance of village council chairmen, Gaon Buras (GBs), pioneering Zeliangrong leaders, ZB (AMN), NZPO, and representatives from various frontal organisations including ZCN, LCN, RCN, ZMO, ZSUN and ZYON.
Delivering the presidential address, ZB(N) president K. Francis Zeliang called for meaningful and constructive participation, while strongly emphasising the need to preserve cultural identity, foster community unity, and safeguard the rights and traditional lands of the Zeliangrong people.
Guest speaker K. Elu Ndang highlighted the crucial role of village chairmen in driving progressive growth within the community.
The core Dimki session featured extensive deliberations and interactive discourse on pressing issues concerning the Zeliangrong people in the state and across borders. Adding cultural vibrancy to the event, renowned artists Thoidambo Nring and Ilungpetle enthralled the gathering with special performances.
The first Dimki of the Baudi Nagaland tenure 2026-2029 concluded with closing remarks and a vote of thanks by Irangtalakpe, deputy speaker of ZB (N), while benediction was pronounced by Bangdi Haikube, village council chaplain.
