CBMS responded just before halftime, with Megokhotso calmly finishing from a well-worked through ball to level the score at 1–1.
The second half saw relentless pressure from both sides, but the decisive moment came late in the game when a goalkeeping error from CBMS allowed Rekuta to slot home the winner. MCS held firm in the closing stages to secure a 2–1 victory, marking a thrilling end to Day 2 of the tournament.
