
DIMAPUR: High level consultative meetings under the State Level Governance Framework of Reform Utsav 2026 were held in Longleng and Phek districts on September 7 and 8, 2026.
In Longleng, the meeting was held at the DBDP Hall on September 8, chaired by Deputy Commissioner W. Manpai Phom. Welcoming participants, Phom introduced Commissioner & Secretary, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs and State Nodal Officer for the district, Kekhrievor Kevichusa, along with his team, officers and representatives of Civil Society Organisations.
Kevichusa highlighted the programme and briefed the house on its key components, functions and future plans.
He informed that public sensitisation would be carried out during September, followed by the launch of the Reform Utsav portal in October. He also requested the Deputy Commissioner to constitute block level and district level committees. The DC urged officers from various departments, blocks and Civil Society Organisations to sensitise the public about Reform Utsav. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the chair.
In Phek, a discussion meeting for Phek and Meluri districts was held at the DC Conference Hall on September 7, chaired by DC Phek, Rhosietho Ngouri.
Delivering the opening remarks, Ngouri welcomed members and officers present. Sarita Yadav, secretary and AHoD, Higher Education Department & State Nodal Officer for Reform Utsav (Phek & Meluri), gave a detailed introduction of the programme, outlining its key components and features. She informed that public sensitisation would be carried out in September, followed by the launch of the Reform Utsav portal on October 2, 2026. Yadav requested both DCs of Phek and Meluri to constitute District Level Committees by September.
The meeting deliberated on the responsibilities of officers from all departments in both districts for public sensitisation. DC Phek stressed that community participation was of utmost importance, describing Reform Utsav as an initiative for all round improvement similar to Viksit Bharat 2047.
Speaking at the programme, DC Meluri, Phuleshe K. Yepthomi, requested heads of Phek district offices overseeing Meluri to ensure subordinate officers posted there were properly guided regarding Reform Utsav.
Neitsho Wezah, Liaison Officer (Higher Education) & Nodal Officer (Reform Utsav), along with HoDs of Phek and Meluri districts, attended the meeting.
