173 Bn CRPF organises Men’s Open Volleyball Tournament under SPANDAN

DIMAPUR, SEP, 10 (NPN): The second day of the Men’s Open Volleyball Tournament, organised by 173 Battalion CRPF, Airfield Dimapur, under the SPANDAN initiative in collaboration with SAI Dimapur, witnessed a series of intense matches at the TC CRPF Ground near DC Court, Dimapur, on September 10.
In the Round of 16 matches, Livingstone Foundation College defeated Royal Club, while Young Vision overcame Doulos Team. Team 711 defeated Hornet Spikers, with Yakuza emerging victorious over Dimapur Government College Team B. Apex Spikers defeated Basa Spikers, while Playing Spikers overcame Vision Club.
Following the Round of 16, the quarter-finals commenced. In the first quarter-final, Team 711 defeated Yakuza to secure a place in the semi-finals. Friends Zone also booked a semi-final berth after defeating Young Spikers. The tournament witnessed displays of skill, teamwork and sportsmanship among the participating teams.
The semi-finals, third-place match and grand final are scheduled to be held on September 11 at the TC CRPF Ground near DC Court, Dimapur. Sports enthusiasts and the general public have been invited to attend and encourage the participating players.
