Govt Polytechnic Seithekema hosts ‘SATHEE Pragati’

DIMAPUR: A career awareness programme titled “SATHEE Pragati- Career Awareness & Guidance Programme” was organised at Government Polytechnic, Seithekema C with the objective of creating awareness among students on educational opportunities, career pathways, skill development, innovation and the SATHEE platform.
The programme was hosted by Imlibenla Jamir, SATHEE Kendra Representative, who delivered the welcome address and introduced the guests and the SATHEE platform.
Two distinguished resource persons-Zhapulhoulie Rupreo, principal of Government Polytechnic Seithekema C, and L. Lanu Jamir, Innovator and Proprietor of Zip Engineering and Innovation Centre, Chümoukedima-addressed the gathering.
In her introductory remarks, Imlibenla Jamir explained the objectives of SATHEE and highlighted its role in making quality educational resources and competitive examination support more accessible to students. She said SATHEE seeks to bridge the gap between students who have access to expensive coaching and those who may not.
Addressing the students, Zhapulhoulie Rupreo spoke on the importance of technical education, higher education and informed career planning. He encouraged students to understand their interests and abilities while making thoughtful decisions about their educational and professional futures.
Sharing his journey as an innovator and entrepreneur, L. Lanu Jamir emphasised engineering, innovation, technology, entrepreneurship and skill development. He urged students to cultivate creativity, practical knowledge and problem solving abilities while exploring opportunities beyond conventional career paths.
A student registered on the SATHEE platform also shared their experience, highlighting the usefulness of SATHEE resources and providing peers with a first hand perspective.
The programme further included a presentation on SATHEE resources, features, courses and tests, followed by an interactive question and answer session with the resource persons.
Organisers stressed the importance of awareness, aspiration, continuous learning, technology and innovation in shaping students’ careers, and encouraged participants to make effective use of SATHEE resources with consistency and determination.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and closing remarks by the SATHEE Kendra team, followed by refreshments and informal interaction among guests, faculty and students.
