MOKOKCHUNG, SEP16 (NPN):A new live fish mart offering home-delivery services, Osail Mart, was inaugurated near Police Baptist Church, Mokokchung, on Wednesday. Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce & Industries (MCCI) president Tsukti Lkr attended the inauguration as guest of honour.
Speaking at the programme, Tsukti congratulated proprietor Opangrenba and his wife for starting the new venture, describing it as the first of its kind in Mokokchung town. He said the town needed more hardworking and enterprising individuals to help address the stagnation in business activities and promote economic growth.
Tsukti also said commodity prices in Mokokchung had become more competitive compared to Dimapur and Kohima, adding that the town was moving in the right direction towards becoming a business hub for neighbouring districts, including Wokha, Zunheboto, Tuensang, Shamator, Noklak and Longleng. He further appealed to the Chuchuyimpang village community to welcome business entrepreneurs, stating that the village had considerable potential for further commercial expansion.
The inauguration programme included a welcome address by Osail Mart proprietor Opangrenba, dedication by Rev. S. Toshi, Pastor, Prayer Garden, invocation by Limasangwa, Pastor, Chuchuyimpang Baptist Church, and benediction by L. Temjen, Pastor, Police Baptist Church.
