DIMAPUR, SEP 17 (NPN): Ao Senden has served a 30-day ultimatum on the health and family welfare (H&FW) department to address three demands concerning healthcare services at the Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), Mokokchung, including replacement postings of a radiologist and dermatologist.
In an ultimatum submitted to the principal director of H&FW through the chief medical officer, Mokokchung, Ao Senden vice president Aowati Ozukum and general secretary Imtipokyim sought the replacement posting of a radiologist and dermatologist, shifting of services to the newly constructed Block A of IMDH, and cancellation of all attachments of doctors and nurses and their reversion to IMDH.
Ao Senden said it had been “constrained” to issue the ultimatum and urged the department and competent authorities to act promptly on the demands.
Failure to take necessary action within the stipulated period, Ao Senden warned that it would pursue its “own course of action” to make its voice for justice heard at every level of governance.
