NSDMA issues weather outlook for Sep 19-22

DIMAPUR, SEP 18 (NPN): Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has issued weather outlook for all districts for September 19-22, with several districts expected to experience thunderstorms and rain during the four-day period.
NSDMA issued a high alert for Mokokchung and Wokha for September 22, forecasting thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by moderate to heavy rain in the two districts.
On September 19, thunderstorms and lightning with light rain were likely in Kohima, Mon, Noklak, Peren, Phek, Shamator, Tseminyu, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto. Thunderstorms and lightning are expected in Chümoukedima, Meluri and Niuland, while Longleng and Mokokchung could receive light rain. Overcast conditions are likely in Dimapur, with no active weather warning for Kiphire. On September 20, thunderstorms and lightning with light to moderate rain have been predicted for Kohima, Mon, Noklak, Tseminyu, Tuensang and Zunheboto.
Thunderstorms and lightning with light rain are likely in Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Longleng, Mokokchung, Niuland, Peren, Phek, Shamator and Wokha. Kiphire and Meluri have no active weather warning.
On September 21, thunderstorms and lightning with light rain are likely in Shamator, Tuensang and Zunheboto, while Chümoukedima could experience thunderstorms and lightning. Light rain is forecast in Kohima, Mon, Noklak and Peren.
Overcast conditions are likely in Longleng, Meluri, Phek, Tseminyu and Wokha, while Mokokchung and Niuland could experience cloudy or partly cloudy conditions.
For September 22, an alert for thunderstorms and lightning with light to moderate rain has been issued for Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Kohima, Longleng, Mon, Niuland, Noklak, Tseminyu, Tuensang and Zunheboto. Peren and Shamator could receive thunderstorms and lightning with light rain.
The four-day cumulative rainfall outlook shows the highest rainfall expected in Mokokchung at 61.91 mm, followed by Mon at 59.40 mm, Wokha at 57.93 mm, Tuensang at 56.89 mm, Tseminyu at 54.31 mm, Kohima at 53.57 mm and Longleng at 52.58 mm. Zunheboto and Noklak are expected to receive 45.74 mm and 43.55 mm, respectively.
