MOKOKCHUNG, SEP 18 (NPN): The 27 Mokokchung Town Assembly Constituency NPF Youth Wing organized a youth festival on Thursday at Mujabi Ground, Salangtem Ward, under the theme “One Goal, One Voice.” The event was sponsored by Minister for Rural Development and SIRD Metsubo Jamir.
During the second session of the festival, Minister Metsubo Jamir attended the programme and expressed gratitude to the NPF Youth Wing for bringing together youths from all five units of the constituency under one platform. He lauded the organizers for fostering unity through sports and emphasized that sporting activities refresh talent while strengthening bonds among the youth.
Jamir further encouraged the youth to strengthen the constituency, keeping in mind the upcoming 2028 Assembly Elections and noted that such initiatives foster unity and resilience which will ultimately benefit the constituency. He concluded his address by highlighting the hope and vast potential that lies within the youth.
The minister also distributed prizes to winners of the futsal competitions held during the festival. In futsal (party workers category), Kichutip NPF Unit emerged as the champion while Mongsenbai NPF Unit secured the runners-up.
In the futsal (professional category), Kumlong NPF Unit secured the champion title with Mongsenbai NPF Unit as runners-up.
