DIMAPUR: Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA), Vankhosung Wokha, organised a three day Youth Leadership Training Programme from September 14 to 16, 2026, at Nagaland House, K. R. Puram, New Delhi. The training aimed to equip youth leaders for effective ministry and leadership while addressing emerging challenges in present day ministry.
The programme commenced on September 14 with the arrival of participants in New Delhi, followed by a fellowship dinner at Nagaland House. Sessions focused on contemporary issues, problems and challenges confronting youth ministry.
N. Mhabemo Kithan, pastor of Lotha Baptist Church Delhi, led the morning devotion and set the tone for the sessions. Evangeline Odyuo Koireng, Country Team Leader (CTL), Leader Source, New Delhi, served as a resource person on the topic “Discipleship Making through Mentorship in Youth Ministry.” She highlighted the importance of mentorship and intentional discipleship, stressing the need to cultivate a culture of developing leaders and enabling individuals to move their lives to a better place.
Imli P. Lemtur, pastor of Delhi Ao Baptist Church, conducted sessions on “Tackling Mental Health Challenges among Youth Leaders” and “Youth Pastors and their Encounter with Contemporary Challenges.” He addressed practical challenges faced by youth leaders in today’s environment, urging them to grow spiritually, emotionally, relationally and professionally. He emphasised the importance of discernment rather than conforming to changing cultural trends.
A discussion session was led by B. Jenibemo Kithan of Lotha Baptist Church Diphubar, allowing participants to express concerns, queries and perspectives on youth leadership and ministry.
Altogether, 25 youth pastors from various Lotha Baptist Churches attended the training in Delhi. The programme also included visits to places of importance in New Delhi such as India Gate, National Zoological Park, Lotus Temple, Qutab Minar and others.
LBCA expressed gratitude to the Joint Resident Commissioner, K. R. Puram, Nagaland House, and staff for their hospitality and assistance during the stay.
