WOKHA, SEP 23 (NPN): Vehicular movement along the road from Molonsu Colony Junction to Sub Jail/Tsumongo Ovung’s Residence Junction, Hospital Road, Wokha, will remain temporarily restricted for 15 days from September 24 to facilitate ongoing road upgradation and ensure public safety.
The road, which had long remained in deplorable condition, is being developed under the 2nd Phase (SASCI) (Urban). The project will cover the stretch from Government Higher Secondary School Junction to Bailey Baptist College via District Hospital and District Sub Jail Road, with paver block installation.
In a traffic advisory issued on September 23, Deputy Commissioner Wokha K. Mhathung Tsanglao directed all vehicular traffic proceeding towards Civil Hospital, Wokha, to use Sub Jail Road as an alternate route during the restriction period. The DC appealed to the public to cooperate and comply with the temporary traffic arrangement for smooth execution of the work.
