DIMAPUR, SEP 23 (NPN): The Nagaland Association for Adventure, Mountaineering and Education (NAAME) will mark its 20th Foundation Day with a special trekking expedition to Mt. Terogvü, the highest peak in Tseminyu district.
The milestone celebration, scheduled for October 3, 2026, will feature a cleanliness drive cum trek at Terogvunyu village, organized in collaboration with the Terogvunyu Youth Organisation (TYO) and partners of the Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP). The initiative aims to foster youth and community engagement while promoting responsible adventure and environmental conservation.
Members and participants will assemble at the NAAME Office, Razhü Point, Kohima, at 8:00 a.m. before departing for Tseminyu and proceeding to Mt. Terogvü Peak.
Highlighting two decades of its journey, NAAME stated that the Foundation Day is not only a commemoration of its achievements in adventure, mountaineering and education, but also a reaffirmation of its commitment to environmental stewardship and community involvement.
Extending an open invitation, Nagaland Association for Adventure, Mountaineering and Education has welcomed its members, friends, well-wishers and all outdoor enthusiasts to join in the celebration of this special milestone.
