DIMAPUR: Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, in association with Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation Limited (NIDC), concluded the Export State Summit 2026 for MSMEs from the food sector on September 24 and 25 at the Conference Hall, Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Kohima.
Organised under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme, the summit was held on the theme “Building Global Pathways: Strengthening Nagaland’s Export Competitiveness.”
The inaugural session was chaired by Keneirienuo T. Zatsu, deputy director, Industries & Commerce. Cholzo Sophie, joint director, delivered the welcome address, followed by the keynote address by K. Francis Hekavi, additional director. Hojeto K. Suqhe, joint director, proposed the vote of thanks.
Through eight modules, participants were introduced to the complete export journey-from obtaining an Import Export Code and identifying suitable products and markets to securing registrations, preparing documentation and accessing banking and export finance facilities. Dedicated sessions on AD Code, pre shipment finance and post shipment finance provided practical guidance on financial and compliance requirements.
The programme also covered the export ecosystem, product based market analysis, HS Code classification, pricing benchmarks and identification of target markets. Participants were informed about export promotion registrations, commodity boards, MSME/Udyam registration, Geographical Indication tags and the Districts as Export Hubs initiative. Documentation sessions included commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, phytosanitary and health certificates, shipping bills, GST Letter of Undertaking and Registration cum Membership Certificates.
Sessions were led by Razveer Mohsin, business head, Tradeforte Group of Companies, an international trade and finance professional with over 25 years of experience in banking, export import, foreign exchange, trade finance and compliance. An ex banker with extensive experience in the Northeast, he has worked closely with MSMEs, entrepreneurs and exporters on export readiness, trade facilitation, market access and cross border trade.
The summit witnessed participation from 13 districts of Nagaland and concluded with feedback and networking sessions, providing participants an opportunity to interact with the resource person, clarify export related requirements and consider next steps towards export registration, financial preparedness, documentation compliance and market linkages.
