Imphal, Sep 28 (PTI): A man hailing from Maharashtra has been arrested with 3.5 kg of ganja in Manipur’s Imphal West district, a police statement said on Monday.
Forty-nine-year-old Omprakash Anand Survana of Thane was apprehended by a team of Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) from North AOC area on Sunday, it said.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and destination of the consignment, the statement said.
A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and efforts are underway to find his accomplices, it added.
