DIMAPUR: A contingent comprising 30 NSS volunteers and two Programme Officers from Modern College, Piphema represented Nagaland at the Northeast NSS Festival 2026, held at Berawtlang, Aizawl, Mizoram, from September 21 to 25, 2026.
The five day festival brought together NSS volunteers from across the Northeastern states to promote youth leadership, cultural exchange, community service and national integration. Nagaland contingent actively participated in Extempore Speech, Cultural Song and Dance, Video Presentation and Quiz Competition, besides engaging in cleanliness drives, disaster management mock drills, self defence training sessions and educational sightseeing.
The event provided an excellent platform for volunteers to showcase their talents, interact with peers from across the Northeast and strengthen the spirit of unity, leadership and selfless service. The contingent returned with enriching experiences and a renewed commitment to the ideals of the National Service Scheme (NSS).
The college management appreciated the volunteers and Programme Officers for representing Nagaland and Modern College, Piphema with dedication and for upholding the NSS motto, “Not Me, But You.”
