FSA Dimapur zone suspends Bothra Sweets licence

DIMAPUR, OCT 1 (NPN): Food Safety Administration (FSA), Dimapur zone, has suspended the FSSAI licence of M/s Bothra Sweets & Provisions (Licence No. 11922003000086) over non-compliance with an improvement notice concerning unhygienic and unsanitary conditions in its food preparation area.
In a press release, FSA Dimapur zone designated officer said the establishment had been ordered to remain closed for 15 days from October 1, 2026, or until the prescribed corrective measures were implemented.
FSA said improvement notices had also been served on other food business operators found non-compliant with prescribed food safety and hygiene requirements. FSA said the establishments would be re-inspected after the stipulated improvement notice period to assess compliance.
Failure to demonstrate satisfactory compliance may invite further action under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, it said.
FSA said inspections were conducted under the Risk-Based Inspection System (RBIS) developed by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), which prioritises inspections of high-risk food businesses and assesses overall operational safety controls.
