DIMAPUR: District Election Office, Dimapur has informed electors that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will visit the residences of those who have been issued notices regarding unmapped status or logical discrepancies as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls, 2026.
The office stated that BLOs would collect and upload the requisite documents through the BLO App. Electors were advised not to visit the office of the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) for hearings.
It clarified that hearings would be conducted only in exceptional cases where considered necessary, with the decision resting with the concerned ERO. Where hearings are required, they will be conducted online, with the date and time communicated to the concerned elector through the respective BLO. The office further informed that an adult member of the family may be authorised by the elector to attend the hearing on their behalf, if required.
